METNA, the Merced Extension Triangle Neighborhood Association, was founded in 1999. Originally established due to the impending addition of Oceanview Village, METNA’s goal is to keep the community (bordered by Junipero Serra Boulevard, Highway 280, and Brotherhood Way) informed of all news and events regarding the neighborhood.
METNA has worked with various organizations such as Cal Trans, SFDPW, and SFMUNI on a range of projects to improve life for neighborhood residents since 1999, and continues to do so. Successful projects include our dog park on Alemany Boulevard, the addition of sidewalks on Brotherhood Way and Niantic, as well as the art installation on the walk to BART from St. Charles Avenue.
METNA publishes and distributes to the neighborhood residents a quarterly newsletter called The METNA News. In addition to receiving a hardcopy of the newsletter, you can now the newsletters on this site, and soon will be able to download your copy.
BECOME A METNA MEMBER
You can join METNA annually for just $20.00 per household. Memberships expire at the end of each December and must be renewed for the next year. Your membership dues help pay for operating costs, including the newsletter and website, and gives members the right to vote for the officers of METNA.
